A litte courthouse wedding at the big ol' statehouse

Not every wedding celebration needs to be a grand, all-out event, and for Danielle and Jeremiah, nothing could have been more perfect for them than their intimate elopement at the Indiana Statehouse.

They reached out a few months beforehand and asked if we would be available for their elopement. They wanted to tie the knot on a Friday at the Statehouse, they wanted something short and sweet, and they wanted a few friends and family to attend. Oh yeah, and could Mike officiate?

We LOVE elopements. Don’t get me wrong, we also love big ol’ wedding celebrations, but there’s something super sweet and super special about the intimacy elopements offer. We love how low-stress they are. We love how intimate they are. We love the freedom they afford. We love how comfortable the couple feels throughout the process. It’s just a really good time.

When we arrived at the Statehouse, we found the perfect spot on the top floor underneath the skylights. After their first look, we got everyone in position, and Mike led them through their ceremony. They exchanged vows, exchanged rings, and made it official with a kiss in frontof their friends and family.

After a few family photos, they signed their marriage license and we went outside for a few photos outside the Indiana Government Center with it’s massive concrete columns. Short. Sweet. Easy. And so wonderfully.

They’re lake people, so next up is a sunset shoot on the lake while they go water skiing. We’re puuumped!!
