Our favorite weddings have this one thing in common: you can feel just how much the couple loves each other. That might sound obvious. People getting married should love each other. Duh. 

But after doing this as long as we have, we’ve found that love presents itself in a lot of different ways. For some, the love they have for each other just overflows and overwhelms. It warps the space they occupy. It’s impossible to avoid. 

And it’s freaking awesome. 

Ireland  & Connor have this kind of love. And getting to celebrate it with them was the honor of a lifetime. 

Ireland found us not long after we got back from Greece for Avery & Bodie’s elopement. And when we put a call out looking for assistants, she answered. 

The first time we worked together, she told us a bit about her upcoming wedding. She was getting married in one of our absolute favorite places (Saugatuck Michigan) and it was on a Friday in September and she was going the DIY route. 

Here’s the thing. We liked Ireland a whole lot right out of the gate. She had the exact right vibe. She was so damn helpful. She seemed to intuitively know what we needed and knew how to help. She learned super quickly and was always down to try something new. And she was just super fun to be around. So Kayla hatched a plan. 

Come help us out at a few weddings, and we’ll come help you out with your wedding. 

So they did. And over the last year, we’ve looked forward to seeing them and working beside them every chance we get. They’re just the best. Every wedding we’d work, they’d take notes figuring out how what they were seeing and experiencing would impact how they approached their wedding day, and before you know it, it was their turn.

So off to Saugatuck we went to celebrate two of our newest favorite people.
