A beautiful catholic ceremony at St. John the Evangelist, a few drinks on the trolley in downtown indianapolis, and a raucous party at the Biltwell
Katelyn & Billy are so clearly best friends in love, and when that’s the case, our job is as easy as (wedding) cake.
The day started at the Biltwell Event Center in Indianapolis, Indiana with Katelyn and her bridesmaids. We ooh-ed and aah-ed at her classic black and white details, and set up first looks with her dad and bridesmaids.
After that the girls boarded the Trolley and departed for St. John the Evangelist in downtown Indianapolis where we met up with Billy and his groomsmen who sported sharp tuxedos (Billy’s white bowtie being the standout). The cathedral ceilings and stained glass provided the perfect backdrop for a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony.
Katelyn and Billy left the church in a cloud of bubbles and joined a Trolley full of friends and family where the drinks started flowing. We took their wedding photos at the Indiana War Memorial and American Legion Mall and spent the Trolley Ride from the church in an extended dance party and sing-a-long.
We had SO MUCH FUN with Billy & Katelyn’s bridal party, who constantly made us laugh and kept us on our toes. After the group shots, we took Katelyn & Billy up to the golden doors of the War Memorial where we could take photos that were an aesthetic callback to their engagement photos at Bottleworks.
The party never stopped on our way back to the Biltwell Event Center.
After speeches, dances, cake cutting, and dinner, we brought them out onto the patio for a few sunset portraits where they laughed the entire time (we can’t mention enough how fun these two are).
As the night wore on, Katelyn and Billy ditched their formal attire in favor of something easier to move and dance in and absolutely partied their faces off. They served late night snacks, had a huge family sing-along to Don McLean’s American Pie (all eight minutes of it), and after we left, they kept the party going until the wee hours of the morning.
Can you two please get married like, once every half decade so we can do it again and again? Cool, thanks.
