South Haven | Michigan

Nichole has been one of the longest and most loyal friends of The Lang Co. (and more specifically, of K. Lynn Photo + Video -> Kayla Lynn Creative -> Kayla Bacon and NOW of The Lang Co). And fun fact, she helped Kayla and I get our first place together! She’s our perennial hype woman. She’s a golden ray of sunshine. She’s joy incarnate. And that’s why we were so so out of our minds excited when she called us and told us that it was her and Nick were getting married.
The cherry on top: they were tying the knot in South Haven, Michigan, one of our absolute favorite places in the entire world.
Because we love her and Nick so much, our timeline calls and check-ins often devolved into multi-hour convos about anything and everything. Nichole is a meticulous planner and Nick is the perfect compliment with supportive, go-with-the-flow energy.
Nichole’s request: Don’t get married without Kayla.
Nick’s non-negotiable: Don’t get married the day of the Michigan Michigan State game. 😬😬😬
Unfortunately, the College Football scheduling people didn't get the memo.
(Dear College football. Please release schedules earlier to account for weddings, ok great. Thanks. Good talk.)
Also, a big happy shoutout to Sydney Ailstock (formally Jordan. Yep. That Sydney.) who was another indispensable ray of sunshine helping us out today. We’re always looking for fun, upbeat, helpful assistants who know how to create the right vibe on wedding days. If you’re interested in hanging out with us and helping create wedding day magic, let us know. And you don’t have to be a photographer!
